EMS was founded in 1983, with the original goal of providing management and project-design consulting for federal agencies, trade associations, and state and local governments. As EMS grew, so did its reputation for quality. During the early years, EMS thrived as a subcontractor to larger companies. Since then, EMS's client base has expanded, as has its national reputation for quality and integrity, and the company has successfully managed 18 multi-year prime contracts for the Environmental Protection Agency, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and Department of Transportation.
EMS researched alternatives to OB/OD and helped EPA document their developmental status, applicability and usage in this report. The goal is to reduce reliance on OB/OD by presenting successfully tested alternatives that can reduce environmental contamination.
EMS has supported EPA's Office of Superfund Remediation and Technology Innovation by developing and producing over 2,000 webinars that cover information specific to environmental technologies and innovative approaches.
EMS's team of experts designed and edited this 4-page fact sheet that explains how the Brownfields and Land Revitalization Program empowers stakeholders to tackle local brownfields challenges and the resulting environmental and economic benefits.
